Lausanne announces Magic Winter to replace Bô Noël

The city of Lausanne has selected a new concept, tentatively named “Magic Winter,” to manage its end-of-year festivities starting in late 2027. The project was chosen unanimously from six competing proposals by a jury including city representatives, tourism officials, and local business associations.

The new four-year mandate (2027–2030) will be managed by the association Lausanne Winter. The concept focuses on a co-construction model involving local actors and includes a Christmas market, animation programs, and city-wide collaborations. The current festivities, Bô Noël, will continue through the 2026 holiday season.

Separately, the 18th edition of the Christmas Run is scheduled for December 12, 2026, in Lausanne. This year, the Économie Région Lausanne (ERL) has become an official partner, sponsoring the “Économie Région Lausanne Challenge Entreprises,” a 4.6 km race designed for corporate teams.
