Lausanne Judo Grand Slam concludes with major victories

The final day of the ECOLE MONT-OLIVET Judo Grand Slam in Lausanne concluded at the Vaudoise Arena with several high-profile victories and demonstrations. Two-time world champion Joshiro Maruyama and Croatian para-athlete Petra Orešković performed an inclusive demonstration for the crowd.

In the -90kg category, Umar Bozorov secured his second Grand Slam title following a victory over Uzbekistani competitor Nurbek Murtozogiyev. In the -78kg division, Germany’s Anna Monta Olek earned her fifth Grand Slam gold medal by defeating Elizaveta Litvinenko with a waza-ari score.

In the -100kg category, Ilia Sulamanidze took the gold after defeating Simeon Catharina with a yuko score. Other notable results included Léa Fontaine winning the +78kg category and world champion Inal Taszojev securing victory in the +100kg division.
