Lautaro Martínez confirms Barcelona interest but vows to stay at Inter Milan

Lautaro Martínez Inter Milan FC Barcelona transfer rumors Serie A

Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martínez has confirmed that FC Barcelona expressed interest in signing him during the summer transfer window. Speaking at the Gran Gala del Calcio, the Argentine international stated that while receiving such offers is an “honor” and a “pleasure,” he remains committed to staying in Milan.

Barcelona reportedly turned their attention to Martínez after failing to secure a deal for Julián Álvarez. While Martínez expressed his desire to remain with Inter, reports also indicate that Arsenal made an approach to the striker in the closing stages of the window, though Inter categorically ruled out any potential departure.

Martínez, who has scored 175 goals for Inter since 2018, cited his deep connection to the club, the city of Milan, and his personal life as primary reasons for his decision to stay. He currently holds a contract with the Serie A champions through the summer of 2029.
