Mourinho faces refereeing tension at Real Madrid as Martschini nears return for EV Zug

José Mourinho is facing a challenging start to the season with Real Madrid following a defeat against Real Betis. The loss has sparked intense debate regarding refereeing, with Mourinho publicly questioning officiating decisions. Refereeing expert Joan Fabregas suggested that Mourinho’s reaction may be a strategic attempt to pressure officials, potentially creating a tense atmosphere for the remainder of the season. Fabregas also raised concerns regarding the independence of the Spanish refereeing commission.

In Swiss ice hockey, EV Zug attacker Lino Martschini is nearing a return to competition after recovering from a serious knee injury sustained in October 2025. Although Martschini is training without pain, his return has been delayed to ensure long-term stability. Additionally, EV Zug management has dismissed transfer rumors regarding the potential acquisition of Inti Pestoni, stating the player was never under consideration.
