LAUTECH debunks viral matriculation list signing notice

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso has dismissed a viral social media notice claiming that newly admitted students must begin signing matriculation lists on September 23, 2026. The university described the circulating notice as unauthorised and false.

In a statement signed by Registrar Olayinka Balogun, the institution clarified that the matriculation list signing exercise has not yet commenced because the university is currently on break. While an internal memo dated August 24 directed faculty officers to facilitate the signing process for 100 Level and Direct Entry students for the 2025/2026 academic session, the university noted that the September 30 date mentioned in official documents is the deadline for submitting completed lists, not the start date for students.

Management advised students to disregard the unofficial announcement and wait for official communication regarding the commencement date, which will be released through recognized university channels once the institution resumes.
