Laval and Fréjus approve major municipal infrastructure projects

In Laval, Canada, the city has awarded a $6.2 million contract to Les Constructions H2D inc. for improvements at Laval-Ouest Park. The project includes the construction of a four-season park chalet, splash pads, picnic areas, and redesigned trails. To accommodate these new facilities, one of the three existing baseball fields will be removed. The investment aims to serve local families, schools, and elite sports teams.

In Fréjus, France, the municipal council has approved a plan to demolish and rebuild the Lachenaud bridge over the Reyran. The project, funded by Estérel Côte d’Azur Agglomération with an estimated budget of €7.18 million, follows years of structural concerns. Since 2022, inspections have revealed significant weaknesses, including cable corrosion, leading to weight restrictions on the bridge. The new infrastructure will include dedicated spaces for pedestrians and cyclists.
