Laval hosts various cultural and community activities

The City of Laval and the Société nationale du Québec à Laval (SNQL) are hosting various cultural and community activities throughout the autumn season.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the SNQL is offering a series of free programs titled ‘L’Assemblement’. These include a discussion panel on local projects at Curé-Antoine-Labelle secondary school on October 25, and workshops during the Quebec Intercultural Encounter Week in November. The SNQL will also host a Lebanese-Quebec intercultural tour on November 29 and an anniversary dinner on November 21.

Additionally, the City of Laval is organizing educational events, such as a session on September 25 featuring authors Roxanne Arsenault and Caroline Dubuc. The discussion focuses on the history of kitsch decor in Laval and Montreal restaurants between 1950 and 1980. The city is also hosting the Val-Martin Festival in the Chomedey neighborhood to celebrate local community achievements.
