Argentina reports two fatal traffic accidents in Mendoza and Mar de Ajó
Two separate fatal traffic accidents have been reported in Argentina.
In Mendoza, 18-year-old Morena González died following a racing accident in Lavalle. During an automotive competition, a vehicle lost control and struck a containment wall and the spectator stands, causing multiple injuries. Following her death, her family made the decision to donate her organs. The Federación Mendocina de Automovilismo Deportivo (FEMAD) stated they did not authorize or supervise this specific event, noting that the authorization was handled by a commission including government and security officials.
In Mar de Ajó, José María González, a well-known local merchant and owner of an auto parts business, died after a collision on Avenida Libertador. Preliminary reports suggest a motorcycle collided with two vans; the motorcyclist reportedly lost control while attempting to avoid a maneuver by one of the vehicles. Authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the crash.
