Lavalleja expands inclusive carnival with new workshops

The Inclusive Carnival of Lavalleja is expanding its cultural accessibility through new workshops designed to integrate people with and without disabilities. Following a successful initial intervention earlier this year, the project is now establishing a structured process through the Lavalleja Disability Honorary Commission (CHDL).

New percussion workshops have commenced at the Vida Plena facility, led by instructors Ramón, Loli Pintos, and Germán Rodríguez. These sessions are part of a broader initiative that includes dance, candombe, and costume workshops. The program aims to prioritize autonomy, respect, and enjoyment for all participants, offering a space for artists and collaborators to engage in a collective cultural project.
