Law enforcement and labor inspections report sanctions in Romania

In Ialomița, the County Gendarmerie reported conducting 734 public order missions during October. These operations included 606 missions focused on public safety, 99 intervention missions, and 29 missions covering sporting, religious, and cultural events. Authorities identified 60 offenses, including 15 discovered independently and 45 in cooperation with police, resulting in fines exceeding 75,000 lei.

In Gorj, the Territorial Labor Inspectorate conducted 59 inspections between October 26 and 30 regarding labor relations and occupational health and safety. These inspections led to 68 administrative sanctions totaling 709,000 lei. Notable penalties included a 230,000 lei fine against a Bucharest-based employer operating in Gorj for violating labor relations and safety regulations, including delayed salary payments. Another restaurant operator in Schela was fined 58,000 lei for non-compliance with labor laws and previous corrective measures.
