Law enforcement officials arrest individuals in separate prostitution investigations
Police in New Jersey and New York have conducted separate investigations into the promotion of prostitution.
In Mays Landing, New Jersey, officers searched Waterfall Therapy following a previous investigation in March. During the recent search, authorities recovered approximately $10,000 in cash concealed within a drop ceiling. Jianhong Li, 54, of Queens, New York, was taken into custody and charged with promoting prostitution. This follows a 2024 state investigation that previously identified discrepancies in the business's registration records.
In Suffolk County, New York, former MacArthur Inn employee James Seccadanari was arrested and charged with felony third-degree promoting prostitution. Prosecutors allege Seccadanari recruited at least three women for commercial sex work by placing sexual classified advertisements in exchange for cash. Seccadanari has pleaded not guilty to the charges. The MacArthur Inn, where the alleged activity occurred, was closed earlier this year following investigations into code violations.
