Federal authorities in the United States and judicial officials in France have announced significant actions against large-scale drug trafficking operations in separate regions.
In Dallas, Texas, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas announced a 24-count indictment against 19 individuals involved in a long-running drug trafficking operation. The investigation led to the seizure of 28,000 grams of illicit narcotics, including cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine, as well as eight firearms. Authorities also seized over $40,000 in drug-related proceeds and additional currency and jewelry totaling more than $500,000. The indictment alleges the operation utilized five drug houses across the Dallas area and involved charges of money laundering and conspiracy.
