Law firms provide legal aid to earthquake victims in Colombia

Following the earthquake on August 10, several law firms in Colombia have launched initiatives to assist affected citizens. The firm Pérez-Llorca, Gómez-Pinzón has established a free ‘Legal Brigade’ to provide guidance in five key areas: insurance claims for housing and property, labor obligations including leaves and contracts, real estate issues, and banking matters such as debt restructuring and financial relief. Interested individuals can access these services by completing a form through the firm's digital channels.

Additionally, the firm Holland & Knight is collaborating with the Presidency of the Republic to support relief efforts. As part of their ‘9-11 Day of Service’, they have organized volunteer sessions at the Vive Claro collection center to assist in classifying and organizing donations for those impacted by the seismic event.
