Law Lecturer Dr. Umar Bebeji Killed in Kaduna-Zaria Road Crash

Dr. Umar Sani Bebeji, a 45‑year‑old senior lecturer in the Faculty of Law at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, died after a fatal collision on the Kaduna‑Zaria Expressway at Dumbin Rauga around 9 a.m. on Saturday. He also served as Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Law and coordinated the ABU Law Clinic, where he promoted clinical legal education and access to justice for underserved communities.

Bebeji is survived by his wife and two children. He was buried at Kwanar Chanchangi Cemetery in Kaduna. Colleagues and former students remembered him as a distinguished scholar, humble mentor, and dedicated legal practitioner who made lasting contributions to legal education at the university.
