Lawo showcases dynamic media infrastructures at IBC 2026

At IBC 2026, Lawo is showcasing advancements in software-based production environments and dynamic media infrastructures. Central to the presentation is HOME, a management and orchestration platform designed for IP-based media infrastructures. The platform enables automatic device recognition, authentication, security, and centralized control.

Through the use of HOME Apps—a portfolio of server-based processing microservices—resources can be flexibly deployed and scaled independently of dedicated hardware. Lawo is demonstrating its Dynamic Media Facility (DMF) approach, which allows processing resources to be distributed dynamically between studios, central production sites, remote environments, and hybrid infrastructures. These solutions are already being utilized in international sports broadcasts to achieve infrastructure cost savings.

Additionally, Lawo highlighted a technological cooperation with Grass Valley. The partnership focuses on integrating orchestration, control, and media data exchange between Grass Valley AMPP and Lawo HOME. Both platforms utilize an open system approach in support of the EBU Dynamic Media Facility initiative. Lawo is also expanding its HOME ecosystem with two new apps specifically for graphics workflows.
