Lawrence brothers battle for AMA Pro Motocross 450 title

The 2026 AMA Pro Motocross 450 Class championship is heading toward a finale between brothers Jett and Hunter Lawrence. Entering the final stages, Hunter Lawrence holds a one-point lead over Jett.

Jett Lawrence has maintained a highly dominant career, recording 34 overall podiums and 28 overall wins in 37 starts. His recent non-podium finishes include a 12th place at the 2024 Hangtown Motocross Classic due to a crash, a 6th place at the 2025 Ironman National following a lap penalty, and a 4th place at the 2026 Budds Creek National.

Motocross legend Ricky Carmichael expressed his preference for Hunter Lawrence in the upcoming title shootout. Speaking on the Title 24 Podcast, Carmichael noted that he feels more confidence in Hunter’s ability to secure consistent starts, suggesting that Jett has struggled with certain aspects of race execution throughout the year.
