Lawrence Johnson charged with murder in Greater Manchester stabbing

Lawrence Johnson, 26, has been charged with the murder of Alisha Samuels and the attempted murder of a man following a fatal stabbing in Greater Manchester. The incident occurred in the early hours of October 15 on Dorking Avenue in Newton Heath.

Emergency services responded to reports of a disturbance involving screaming and shouting. Ms. Samuels, 26, was discovered at approximately 2:00 a.m. with multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. A man was also attacked during the incident, though his identity has not been released.

Johnson, who resided on the same street where the attack took place, has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Manchester Magistrates' Court. Detective Chief Inspector Justin Bryant stated that the investigation remains active as officers work to establish the full circumstances of the death.
