Lawsuit filed against WWE and Montez Ford over sexual harassment allegations
Noel Lucas, an off-duty Cook County Sheriff’s officer working security, has filed a lawsuit against WWE, its subsidiary Event Services, LLC, and wrestler Montez Ford (Kenneth Crawford). The lawsuit alleges that during a live Netflix broadcast of WWE RAW on July 6, 2026, Ford performed an unwanted, sexualized “lap dance” on Lucas.
Former WWE star and attorney David Otunga has commented on the legal implications of the case. After reviewing new camera footage, Otunga stated that the plaintiff may have a “substantially stronger battery case” than initially thought. Otunga noted that while original footage was inconclusive, a different angle appears to show Ford’s thigh repeatedly rubbing against Lucas’s leg, making arguments of accidental contact more difficult to sustain.
Otunga also addressed the nature of consent, arguing that a person’s reaction, such as smiling or remaining seated, does not automatically constitute permission, particularly in awkward or professional settings.
