Lawyer Helenn Silva Padilla assassinated in Peruvian restobar

Lawyer Helenn Giulianna Silva Padilla was assassinated on Saturday afternoon in a restobar located in the San Martín de Porres center, in the Pacasmayo province of the La Libertad region.

Security footage captured the attack, showing a man wearing a motorcycle helmet approaching the victim from behind and firing three shots. The assailant and an accomplice fled the scene on a motorcycle. Silva Padilla, a 44-year-old mother of two, died before reaching the hospital.

The National Police of Peru are investigating the crime. One primary hypothesis being explored is a dispute over money, specifically a claim from a client dissatisfied with legal services provided by the lawyer. The La Libertad Bar Association has issued a statement expressing deep indignation and demanding a rigorous investigation into the murder.
