Lawyer found dead in Bávaro apartment

Fiordaliza Leonardo Senluis, a 54-year-old lawyer, was found dead in her apartment in the Hoyo de Friusa sector of Bávaro-Punta Cana. Her body was discovered in a state of decomposition on Sunday morning.

Leonardo, originally from Guaymate, La Romana, had been living and working in Bávaro. Concerns regarding her wellbeing arose when she failed to appear at her office on Thursday, breaking her usual daily routine. Preliminary assessments suggest she may have passed away as early as Wednesday night, possibly due to a respiratory complication or cardiac arrest.

The body has been transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for formal autopsies to determine the exact cause of death and the precise time of death.
