Lawyer found dead in Morrocoy National Park, Venezuela

The body of a 57-year-old lawyer, identified as Roberto Antonio Ojeda Prince and known as ‘Tico’, was found floating near the María Auxiliadora pier at Punta Brava beach within Morrocoy National Park, Falcón state.

Passersby reported the discovery on Monday morning. Following the report, commissions from the Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (Cicpc) from the Tucacas municipal delegation arrived at the scene to secure the area and recover the body.

The deceased, a resident of Tucacas, was transported to the morgue at the Dr. Lino Arévalo hospital for forensic examination. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident, though they have not yet specified whether the case is being treated as an accident or a criminal matter.
