Lawyer Hadeer Al‑Akrami Dies During Surgery at Private Clinic in Ismailia
On 1 August 2026, Hadeer Al‑Akrami, a young lawyer, died while undergoing a uterine surgery at a private women's and obstetrics clinic in Ismailia, Egypt. Security forces and emergency responders arrived at the scene, secured the area and transferred the body to a forensic facility for autopsy.
