Julia Dokara, a 32-year-old lawyer based in Wiesbaden, Germany, has shared her experiences of breastfeeding her infant during court proceedings. Dokara, who specializes in tenancy and labor law, noted that she returned to court just three days after giving birth to handle an urgent eviction case.

According to Dokara, she has faced various reactions to breastfeeding in the courtroom, including instances where witnesses appeared unsettled. However, she reported that judges and opposing counsel have generally shown understanding, with one judge even offering to assist with the baby. She uses her Instagram platform, which has approximately 116,000 followers, to discuss these experiences and the challenges of balancing legal practice with motherhood.
