Lawyer Nazia Ilahi Khan receives death threats from Pakistani number

Lawyer Nazia Ilahi Khan has reported receiving death threats via WhatsApp from a phone number originating in Pakistan. The threats, which included voice notes, missed calls, and disturbing images or videos involving firearms, were received after she arrived in Kolkata.

According to the victim, the perpetrators claimed to possess her residential addresses in Kolkata, as well as locations for her family in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Mumbai. Khan expressed concern that her movements are being monitored and suggested the threats might be linked to efforts to suppress her voice ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections.

She has filed formal complaints with the Kolkata STF, the Delhi Police Special Cell, and the Ghaziabad Police. Cybercrime officials have also contacted her to gather information regarding the incident.
