Lawyer provides details on the death of Georgi Kusev

Dimitar Markovski, the lawyer representing the family of Georgi Kusev, has provided new details regarding the investigation into Kusev’s death. Markovski described the killing as a “slow and agonizing” process, noting that Kusev died from polytrauma caused by repeated blows from hands and feet to various parts of his body. The assault reportedly lasted for more than an astronomical hour.

According to the lawyer, investigators are working to build a chain of circumstantial evidence to ensure the case holds up in court. Markovski suggested that the group of defendants could expand to include one or two more individuals. Preliminary video evidence indicates that a primary perpetrator may be a minor.

Markovski also criticized current legal frameworks, specifically Article 63 of the Penal Code, arguing that the maximum 12-year sentence for minors does not adequately reflect the high social danger of such crimes. The legal process is expected to last between 18 months and two years, and the victim's family intends to file significant civil lawsuits.
