Lawyers seek reopening of Massimo Vido fatal accident investigation

Legal representatives for the family of Massimo Vido, a truck driver who died in a fatal accident in Jesi in May 2022, have requested the reopening of investigations by the Ancona Prosecutor's Office. The request seeks to investigate the incident under the hypothesis of road homicide.

New technical investigative reports suggest that the accident, which was previously archived, may have been caused by inadequate road maintenance rather than driver error. The legal team argues that Vido may have performed an emergency maneuver due to road conditions, potentially involving the Municipality, the Province, and Anas in the matter. Additionally, lawyers are seeking to include witness testimonies that were not part of the original official evidence, including reports of the victim's distress during the incident.
