Lax Gopisetty, Infosys Public Services CEO, missing after Nepal floods

Lax Gopisetty, the CEO of Infosys Public Services, is currently unreachable following devastating flash floods in the Nepal-Tibet border region. Infosys confirmed that Gopisetty was visiting the area in a personal capacity when the natural disaster struck. The company stated that its immediate priority is ensuring his safety and well-being, and it is working with relevant agencies to establish contact while maintaining close communication with his family.

The floods have caused a significant humanitarian crisis. According to reports, the disaster has resulted in hundreds of deaths and thousands of missing persons in Nepal. India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reported that at least 320 Indian nationals remain missing, while approximately 400 others are stranded on the Chinese side of the border. The MEA noted that 153 Indians who were previously stuck on the Chinese side have since safely returned to Nepal.
