LAX ranked most reliable major U.S. airport in new report

A new report from ConsumerAffairs has ranked Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as the most reliable major airport in the United States. Using data from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Transportation regarding cancellations, delays, and flight diversions, the study found that West Coast airports dominated the top rankings. Phoenix Sky Harbor and Seattle-Tacoma International followed LAX in the top three.

In contrast, the report identified Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) as the least reliable large airport. The Northeast region performed poorly in the rankings, with Philadelphia International Airport cited as the fifth-least reliable major airport. The study noted that reliable airports are characterized by exceptionally low rates of cancellations and lengthy delays.
