Phoenix Raceway hosts NASCAR and ARCA racing events

Racing events at Phoenix Raceway saw varied results across the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the ARCA Menards Series West.

In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Layne Riggs secured the pole position for the Zero Carbon Bioethanol 150 after a qualifying lap of 27.039 seconds. During the race, Riggs finished third after starting first, while teammate Chandler Smith finished 15th following contact and pit road penalties.

In the ARCA Menards Series West, Max Reaves won the Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 100. The race featured a record six women in the field. Reaves maintained the lead through several cautions and a late-race overtime attempt that was ultimately halted due to light rain and damp track conditions.

Additionally, the ARCA O'Reilly Series saw a multi-car restart pileup involving Taylor Gray, which occurred around lap 100 following a tangle between other competitors. Gray, who had been running competitively, faced challenges following the incident.
