Lazarevac: Violence and clashes reported near SNS headquarters

During extraordinary parliamentary elections in Lazarevac, Serbia, violent clashes broke out near the headquarters of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). The incident began when citizens noticed a white jeep with an open trunk containing numerous baseball bats.

According to reports, individuals in the vehicle attempted to flee as police arrived, but were blocked by a crowd. A subsequent confrontation occurred involving a vehicle with Novi Sad registration plates, leading to a physical conflict. In response to perceived police inaction, some citizens broke the windows of the jeep to remove the bats.

Social media reports included allegations that SNS supporters attacked citizens using sticks and shovels. While police presence was noted securing the party premises, there are currently no official details regarding injuries, arrests, or specific police proceedings initiated following the latest reported incident.
