Lazdijai hippodrome hosts humanitarian camp drill for Vyčio skliautas 2026
As part of the national mobilization system exercise ‘Vyčio skliautas 2026’, a humanitarian camp was tested at the Lazdijai hippodrome on October 3. The drill simulated the provision of aid to evacuees moving from Lithuania toward Poland.
The exercise focused on the practical ability to receive, register, house, and provide essential supplies to displaced persons. The temporary infrastructure included designated areas for men, women, and the elderly, equipped with folding beds, sleeping bags, and bedding.
In addition to physical accommodation, the drill tested registration processes, information management, catering, and medical and psychological support. Digital solutions were also evaluated, including the CREWS mobile system for information management and a specialized application designed to coordinate actions and exchange data between institutions and evacuees.
