Lazio shares Serie A lead under Gennaro Gattuso

Lazio has emerged as a co-leader in the Serie A standings alongside Inter Milan after six matchdays, following a 3-1 victory against Monza. The team's strong start has been attributed to the tactical approach of manager Gennaro Gattuso, who has implemented a system characterized by rapid passing, verticality, and continuous player rotations.

Gattuso has addressed criticisms regarding his coaching reputation, stating that he is often unfairly judged by his past experiences and personality. He emphasized that his current project focuses on technical ideas and group cohesion rather than relying solely on character. Despite initial skepticism following a Coppa Italia elimination and squad changes, the team is now being viewed as a serious contender for European qualification.
