Lazio defeats Bologna as Romano Floriani Mussolini makes Serie A debut

The match was notable for the senior debut of 23-year-old defender Romano Floriani Mussolini, the great-grandson of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Floriani Mussolini entered the pitch in the 19th minute to replace the injured Adam Marušić and participated in the buildup to the winning goal.

His appearance drew attention from spectators, with reports indicating some fans chanted “Duce,” a title used by his great-grandfather. Floriani Mussolini, who joined Lazio's academy in 2016, stated that the debut was a “dream realized” and noted that he does not feel connected to the controversial aspects of his family history.
