Lazio fan groups plan large protest on July 2 in Rome

Supporter groups of Italian football club Lazio announced a protest scheduled for Thursday 2 July at 17:30 in Rome. The organisers describe the event as “the biggest manifestation of dissent in the history of Italian fan groups” and invite all Lazio supporters, including season‑ticket holders, to demonstrate against the club’s management.

The march will start at Ponte Milvio, proceed to Piazza Ankara beneath the Stadio Flaminio, and feature debates, artistic performances, live music and a DJ set. The protest’s slogan highlights a demand for freedom: “La libertà non è elargizione: è una conquista!”.

Participants are urged to wear the club’s colours and to show solidarity in what they call a “seizure of fan base” by the club’s president.
