Lazio fans face potential travel ban for Bologna match

Controversy has erupted regarding a decision to restrict Lazio fans from traveling to Bologna for their upcoming Serie A fixture on August 24. Reports indicate that a ban on ticket sales for residents of the Lazio region appeared on Bologna's website following instructions from the local Questura, though the restriction was later removed, causing significant confusion.

Alfredo Parisi, president of Federsupporter, has labeled the impediment a "provocation" and stated that his organization is considering an appeal to the Minister of Sport. He characterized the decision as "shameful," suggesting it unfairly targets Lazio supporters despite their recent demonstrated ability to organize peaceful large-scale demonstrations.

Commentator Luigi Bisignani also questioned the logic of the restriction, noting that the decision seems to stem from general security concerns following recent local incidents in Bologna. He suggested that authorities should coordinate with Rome, pointing to recent large, orderly Lazio fan mobilizations as evidence that the supporters can engage with public security effectively.
