Lazio fans stage massive ticket boycott to pressure club management

Supporter groups of Italian football club Lazio have organized a large-scale boycott, with roughly 5,000 fans refusing season tickets and urging sponsors to act. Former club official Franco Spicciarello said the protest targets the club’s ownership structure rather than the team, noting that last season about 28,000 of 30,000 ticket holders abandoned the stadium.

Radio Laziale director Daniele Capezzone echoed the concerns, calling the situation “evident” and urging fans to keep pressure high while remaining civil. Both spokespeople warned that the continued dissent could affect the club’s finances and its relationships with media and sponsors.
