Lazio Governor Francesco Rocca sees record approval rise

A weekly Lab21 poll shows Lazio Governor Francesco Rocca gaining 0.9 percentage points in a single week, reaching 60.1% approval and moving to seventh place among Italy’s regional presidents. Analysts attribute the surge to accelerated territorial health initiatives, including proximity medicine, community hospitals, reduced waiting lists, and a strengthened financial management of the region. Rocca’s recent public appearance with Lazio football fans during a protest against league president Claudio Lotito is also noted as enhancing his visibility.

Alessia Savo, president of the Regional Health and Social Policies Commission, highlighted the results, stating that the “proximity medicine is becoming a reality” and praising the comprehensive reforms that have improved services, financial accountability, and social programs across the region.
