Lazio implements cost-cutting measures and roster decisions

Lazio is implementing a cost-cutting strategy under President Claudio Lotito. The club has achieved significant savings through player transfers and contract management.

Following the sale of Romagnoli to Al-Sadd, the club will save 5 million euros in gross wages previously owed through 2027. This follows previous savings from the contracts of Pedro, Basic, and Hysaj, as the club aims to reduce labor costs to 70% of its budget.

Regarding player roster decisions, Cancellieri will remain in the Lazio squad list despite recent transfer negotiations. Although there was tension following his refusal of a move to Genoa, discussions between Fabiani and Gattuso resulted in the decision to keep him available for the championship, as there was no immediate need to exclude players for slot management purposes.
