Lazio launches ‘Ti Rispetto’ to combat school bullying and violence

The Lazio region has launched the second edition of ‘Ti Rispetto’, a program designed to prevent gender-based violence, bullying, cyberbullying, and all forms of discrimination within schools. The initiative, promoted by Simona Renata Baldassarre, the regional assessor for Culture, Equal Opportunities, Youth Policies, and Family, aims to support students, teachers, and families throughout the 2026-2027 school year.

Building on the first edition, which reached over 3,600 students and 7,000 parents, the program is expanding its reach. Through a partnership with the Italian Parents Movement (MOIGE), the number of participating schools and ‘Respect Ambassadors’—students trained to identify distress and foster healthy peer relationships—will double. The project seeks to provide concrete tools to help young people recognize harmful situations and encourage them to seek help.
