Lazio shifts transfer targets after Franjo Ivanovic chooses RC Lens

Lazio's pursuit of Benfica striker Franjo Ivanovic has stalled after the player reportedly turned down the Italian club in favor of RC Lens, drawn by the opportunity to play in the Champions League.

Although Lazio had reached an agreement with Benfica for a loan with an option to buy, the 22-year-old Croatian prioritized a move to the French side. With the Ivanovic deal failing, Lazio is now actively pursuing several alternatives to bolster their attack under Gennaro Gattuso.

The club's primary targets include Santiago Gimenez from AC Milan, potentially on loan, as well as Andrea Pinamonti and Roberto Piccoli. The search for a striker remains a priority for the squad following the collapse of the initial negotiations.
