Lazio President Antonello Aurigemma Proposes Law to Protect Night‑time Workers

Antonello Aurigemma, president of the Lazio regional council, presented a new regional bill titled “Disposizioni per promuovere la sicurezza integrata.” The proposal, drafted by the Forum “Le Città della Notte,” aims to extend integrated security measures to protect the hundreds of thousands of people who work during the night – from healthcare staff and police to businesses that operate after hours. Aurigemma emphasized that night activity is a vital part of society and should receive the same safeguards provided in other European countries.

The bill seeks to strengthen subsidiary security, support local municipalities with targeted projects, and enhance cooperation with law‑enforcement agencies to ensure safety for night‑time workers across the region. It is being introduced for the first time and is open to public discussion.
