Lazio region allocates 200 million euros for university scholarships
During the ‘Università dei Valori: Giovani, Merito e Futuro’ summit held at the Italian Senate, representatives from the Lazio region and Forza Italia Giovani discussed academic merit and student support. A central highlight of the meeting was the announcement of a 200 million euro allocation for scholarships, marking the highest funding level in the history of the Lazio region.
Delegates from the University of Tuscia and the Viterbo province emphasized that while the scholarship funding provides significant economic certainty for families, additional structural improvements are required. Specifically, representatives called for the enhancement of transportation networks, including trains and buses, as well as improved student housing to ensure full accessibility to provincial university hubs.
