Lazio region faces transport service changes and traffic disruptions

Public transport and road conditions in the Lazio region are facing significant disruptions. In Pomezia, Mayor Veronica Felici and local authorities have met with Astral and service provider Troiani to demand the restoration of the public transport service levels that existed prior to the transfer of competence from the municipality to the Lazio Region on June 30. The administration is seeking to address ongoing issues regarding connection reliability and frequency.

Astral has announced new service modifications for Network Unit 2 (UdR 2) – Tiber Valleys, effective October 12. These changes include revised schedules and new routes for several lines, such as Line 28c, Line 20, Line 5, Line 7, and Line 17, aimed at better serving local residents and students.

Additionally, severe weather and accidents have impacted regional traffic. An orange alert issued by the Civil Protection of Lazio has warned of adverse weather conditions. Traffic congestion has been reported on the A12 near Torre in Pietra and Cerveteri due to storms, as well as on the A24 and various routes around Rome and Lariano due to accidents and roadworks.
