Lazio region hosts craft beer competition and seasonal food festivals

The Rome Chamber of Commerce has opened registrations for the sixth edition of ‘Birre Preziose’, a competition dedicated to the best beers in Rome and the Lazio region. The event aims to support regional development, encourage entrepreneurship among youth and women, and foster competition among craft breweries, agricultural businesses, and beer firms. Registration for the competition closes on October 8, 2026.

In addition to the brewing competition, the Lazio region features a diverse calendar of seasonal food festivals throughout September 2026. Notable events include the 70th Sagra della Nocciola in Caprarola, which concludes on September 1 with a concert by Nomadi, and the 39th Sagra degli ‘Ndremmappi in Jenne on September 4 and 5, celebrating traditional fresh pasta. In Rome, the Vinòforum event will take place at Piazza di Siena in Villa Borghese from September 7 to 13, offering tastings, masterclasses, and professional training for the food and wine sector.
