Lazio Region identifies 31 Tiber River lots for public concession

The Lazio Region has approved a resolution to grant concessions for 31 land lots along the Tiber River. Proposed by Regional Councilor for State Property Fabrizio Ghera, the initiative covers more than 50 hectares of land stretching from Castel Giubileo to the river's mouth at the Tyrrhenian Sea, including the Navigable Canal.

The lots are located within the municipalities of Rome and Fiumicino. They will be assigned through a public tender process. To encourage broader participation, some larger lots may be subdivided into smaller sub-lots during the assignment phase.

Permitted uses for these areas include sports and recreational activities, parks, cultural and temporary exhibition spaces, dining, urban agriculture, and services for nautical activities. The initiative aims to revitalize the riverfront and increase accessibility for local residents.
