Lazio region president Rocca slams club chief Lotito over stadium plans
Francesco Rocca, president of the Lazio region, said he has no relationship with SS Lazio's owner Claudio Lotito, describing Lotito as being “in conflict with himself.” Rocca, who joined recent fan protests against Lotito, criticized the club's communication and corporate structure, warning that thousands of supporters are affected and that the publicly listed club requires better governance.
Rocca emphasized that the regional government is working seriously and technically with Rome’s municipality and heritage authorities to secure the Flaminio venue as a new home for Lazio, paralleling AS Roma's stadium situation. He stressed that the stadium issue is separate from his personal criticism of Lotito’s conduct toward fans.
