Lazio Region to launch UdR 1 Tirreno Nord transport network

The Lazio Region is set to launch the UdR 1 Tirreno Nord on September 15, 2026, marking a significant reorganization of public transport in 21 municipalities. This new territorial unit integrates areas between the Rome metropolitan area and Viterbo, including Civitavecchia, Santa Marinella, Fiumicino, and Bracciano.

The initiative aims to coordinate urban, extra-urban, and rail connections to better serve commuters and students whose movements often cross administrative boundaries. Bus International Service has been designated as the manager for this new network. In Civitavecchia, the transition will focus on integrating the current local service, managed by Civitavecchia Servizi Pubblici (CSP), into the unified regional model.
