Lazio Regional Council launches tourism market to promote regional excellence
The Lazio Regional Council has launched the first edition of ‘In Lazio-be excellence. Lazio tourism market’, an initiative designed to promote the cultural and territorial assets of the region’s 378 municipalities.
Antonello Aurigemma, president of the Lazio Regional Council, stated that the project aims to support local communities by showcasing their natural beauty, historic villages, and traditions. The event features 50 international buyers participating in the promotional efforts.
Aurigemma also noted that while Rome experiences significant tourism, the average length of stay remains low compared to European standards. He suggested that increasing the duration of visits by just one day could provide a substantial economic boost to the entire region.
