Lazio supporters' protests linked to lack of club growth strategy

Journalist Alberto Ciapparoni has addressed the ongoing tensions between S.S. Lazio supporters and the club's ownership. In a recent letter and social media exchange, Ciapparoni argued that the current management lacks a long-term growth project necessary to establish the club as a top-tier competitor.

Ciapparoni criticized the notion that on-field results should invalidate fan protests. He stated that those who “overlap results and protest are either uninformed or acting in bad faith,” emphasizing that the supporters' grievances are rooted in the club's identity and lack of strategic direction rather than immediate match outcomes. He noted that while the club has achieved successes over the last 22 years, these were often attributed to unpredictable factors rather than a structured developmental path.
