Lazio wine traditions highlighted through local production and regional festivals

The Lazio region is highlighting its viticultural heritage through local production and regional events. In the Parco del Veio near Rome, Azienda Agricola Terre del Veio continues to promote the area's volcanic terroir. Their Mithra Bombino Bianco Lazio IGP 2025 is noted for its citrus and floral profile, featuring an etichette inspired by Etruscan history.

Additionally, the town of Nemi will host ‘Le Notti del Vino’ on August 22 and 23, 2026. Organized by the Associazione Nazionale Città del Vino, the event aims to promote enogastronomic tourism in the Castelli Romani area. The weekend will feature tastings of award-winning regional wines from the Concorso Enologico Internazionale delle Città del Vino, alongside musical performances including a De André cover band concert.
